Converse

There are only a few choice brands that make it to the top and survive years and years in the footwear industry. Converse is one of those brands. This well-known company has been around since 1908, providing quality All-American footwear to their millions of consumers.

The brand was founded by Marquis Mills Converse in 1908 and had its first every factory in Malden, Massachusetts. Although rubber shoes and sneakers were not that widely accepted then, Converse shoes gained a lot of attention. Eventually, it also started to capture the world of vintage basketball and has since then broadened and became a favorite of the young crowd.

Converse has now become a go-to brand for many, often associated with a cool and laid-back lifestyle. Because of the huge popularity of their products, their website now offers customizable sneakers, available in several popular selections like the classic All-Star pairs to the slightly more chic Jack Purcell leather editions. In total, there are 29 customizable sneakers in the site, in choices like canvas hi-tops, neons and leather renditions. Prices for the All-Star offerings are $58 – $90 and around $70 for the Jack Purcell pairs. Kids customizable shoes are priced at around $45.

Aside from a good amount of customizable pairs offered on the website, their Design Your Own system is very easy to use. There are 14 parts of the shoe that can be customized: outside & inside body, heel stripe, tongue, lining, sidewall, toe bumper, toe cap, racing stripe, eyelets on both sides, stitch, lace and personal ID. The design options are mainly colors and prints. For the canvas body, you can choose from 25 different colors and 24 trendy prints that range from Goth-inspired to plaids. Additionally, the website also provides a huge array of shoe collections, clothing and accessories in their Shop category.

Unfortunately though, International orders and shipping is not accommodated, so you would need to find a near retail store if you are not inside the US. For US customers, shipping is free for orders that are $75 and above. Products can be returned for refunds or exchanges within 30 days of receipt, provided it can be returned in an unworn condition and in its original packaging.

Converse is already a household name and it is no longer a surprise that their website and customization services fair highly. They are able to give great style options while also maintaining a feature-full website that scores major points in utilization, design and service.
