Greek Gear

Greek Gear was founded in 1999 by Joseph Tantillo. Their goal is to become a one stop resource shop for custom Greek apparel and merchandise. The company, which was actually a work in progress for about 15 years, came to existence when Joseph realized the need for Greek merchandise for sororities and frats.

They carry a vast selection of Greek-related items –from custom lettered shirts to various types of accessories. You will find just about anything and everything you need to show off your beloved frat or sorority. The large selection of products also include sweatshirts, hats, jewelry, glassware, signs, flags and even pet apparel. They use screen printing for the custom apparel and there are no minimum order requirements. For accessories like keychains, frames and paddles, they use laser engraving. Custom sweatshirts and hoodies generally cost around $40 – $50. Simple lettered tees are available for as low as $15. They give great discounts for bulk orders too. Additionally, they offer nice sales and promo sale codes from time to time.

High quality fabric and material are used to make their apparel and accessories. While their core target consumers are college students who are members of sororities and frats, they also cater to alumni and other older audiences.

The style and interface of their design page is very straightforward and uncomplicated. With the drop down boxes, you can easily choose from the options listed. You can customize the apparel’s size, color, foreground letters and background letters. There are also some additional personalization you can do – script letters and crests. This would cost an additional $10 – $13. Additional instructions or special requests can be typed in an extra box in the same page.

Production time varies, depending on the ordered product. It can take anywhere from 3 business days – 3 weeks. But they also have the option to expedite the production to as fast as just 1 working day. Of course, this is for an extra price too. There’s an additional cost of about $10 – $25 for rush productions. They do not accept returns & exchanges except in the cases of defective merchandise or production errors.

Overall, Greek Gear is a great resource shop for everything Greek. They live true to their mission statement of providing quality Greek items of all kinds to their customers. Although their design center is not as sophisticated as other websites, the application still does its job very well.
